Wakili Kessi Sadiki (Abdul) My name is Abdul. I am from Zanzibar, Tanzania. I started the diploma in September 2010 and will finish in June 2012. After graduation I would like to work in a hotel as a Receptionist and I want to continue with my education. Outside school I like to play football. “Abdul has shown great commitment to his studies from Day 1 and is always there when needed. He has also impressed us with his flexibility and charm.” |

Anna Lazaro Kanagana My name is Anna. I come from Dar es Salaam and I started my Diploma in September 2010 and will finish in 2012. When I finish my diploma I would like to work in an Accounting Department. Outside school I like to read books and spending time with friends. “Anna has hardly missed a day of school. While she is a quiet character, her ability in Accounting and Math has been impressive, and she would be an asset to any business, be that front-of-house or back office.” |

Hassani Omari M/mwela (Bojo) I am from Dar Es Salaam. I started my diploma course in September 2010 and will finish in June 2012. After graduation I would like to set up a Tour Operator company. When I am not in school I like to do tours with guests (for example, village tour or seaweed farming). I also enjoy playing football and singing. “Bojo is an asset to any bar or restaurant as he has an easy way to get along with people. In addition, he loves to cook and is always hands-on during our Friday Dinners.” |

Hamid Moh’d Kassim My name is Hamid. I am 23 years old and live in Jambiani, Zanzibar. I started my Diploma in September 2010. When I graduate in June 2012, I would like to be a Business Manager and Website Designer. When I am not in school, I love to work, play football, play music, study and spend time with friends. “Hamid loves Bartending and we love to see him behind the bar any time, particular when he tries to improve his beautiful decorations for drinks. He is conscientious and his smile and personality would be an asset to any customer service operation.” |

Rosemary Mtakayo Uziah My name is Rosemary and I am from Dar es Salaam. I started my Diploma in September 2010 and I will graduate in June 2012. Outside school I like to listen to gospel music, to read books and the Bible and to cook. After graduation I would like to set up my own business to make and sell ice cream, cake, muffins and pizza because I have experience with that. Thank you very much. “Rosie’s food production skills are amazing, particularly breads and cakes. Her lovely smile adds a bit of sunshine to any day in school. She will not have a problem to find a job in the food production industry.” |

Asuweni Hassani Sadiki (Kassu) My name is Kassu. I am from Jambiani, Zanzibar and I live in Jambiani. I am a Year 2 student and I started my Diploma in September 2011 and I will finish in June 2012. When I am not at school I work and manage my own business (DVD and video rental). When I graduate I would like to work in the tourism sector.“Kassu might be our youngest student in the Class of 2012, but he is our own sushi and pasta chef. If you give him a computer, he is busy for hours due to his love for technology.” |

Launi Makame Launi My name is Laun. I lived in Stone Town, Zanzibar, but now I live in Jambiani on the east coast of Zanzibar. I am 25 years old. I started the Diploma course in September 2010 and I will finish in June 2012. I would like to be self employed after graduation. I like to play football, doing exercises, swimming, etc. “Launi is an all-round talent. While we love his food production and service skills, his personal love is tour guiding. He is hard-working, takes his job seriously and is always one of the last to leave.” |

Abdul-Halim Hassan Haji My name is Halim. I was born on Pemba Island and now I live in Jambiani, Tanzania. I started my diploma at the JTTI in 2010 and I will finish in June 2012. After finishing the diploma I would like to do three things; Front Desk Agent, Tour Guide or Music Production. Outside school I’m interested in reading books, playing music and working in customer services. “Halim is the best server that we have ever had on our Diploma course. His professionalism and observational skills have impressed teachers and fellow students alike and he will be able to transfer these skills easily to a Front Office position.” |

Mwalim Juma Khamis My name is Mwalim. I am from Zanzibar. I started my Diploma in September 2010 and I wlll graduate in June 2012. When I graduate I would like to set up my own Tour Company. When I am not in school I like to work as a Tour Guide, Server or Taxi Driver. “Mwalim is our joker. When he is not cracking jokes, dancing or singing, he is a great server who shows his love for customer service, particularly during our Friday Dinners. He also loves tour guiding, is very reliable and is the ultimate entrepreneur.” |

Victor Raymond Petro My name is Victor. I am from Dar es Salaam. I started my Diploma in September 2010 and I will finish in June 2012. After graduation I would like to work in a hotel. What I like to do when I am not in school is socializing and discussing issues with friends, reading novels, watching movies and swimming. “Victor is the mature and serious one of the Class of 2012. He has great skills in accounting and math and is our top student in Spanish this year.” |
